About RCC

"Love's Gathering Place"

Raising Up the Foundations of Many Generations

Restoration Center Charlotte is a community hub where people come to have their needs met both spiritually and physically. We are a united congregation that teaches all who are less fortunate, broken, and discouraged how to renew their desire to succeed.

We help people achieve a higher standard of living through programs, classes, and hands-on opportunities for learning — restoring our community's belief in the Most High's pathway to progress and good success.

Vision Statement

Restoration Center Charlotte is known as a community organization that just happens to be an Assembly. Our goal is to satisfy the needs of those individuals who have been weakened by the trials of life and help them strengthen their faith in the Most High — that they may become willing and able to help others in the same manner. Together we rebuild the old, repair the broken, and raise up the foundations of many generations.

— Isaiah 58:11-12

Mission Statement

Restoration Center Charlotte restores hope and dignity by meeting the spiritual and physical needs of our community. We empower individuals through hands-on learning, Kingdom principles, and practical training to achieve a higher standard of living and lasting success.

2016–2026 and Beyond

Our History & Story

A Decade of Faith, Service, and Commitment

Restoration Center Charlotte was re-launched in October 2016 by Pastors Kenneth and Veronda Schools, following years of pastoral development, mentorship, ministry experience, and a sincere pursuit of the Most High and His Word.

As we approach our 10-year anniversary in October 2026, we look back with gratitude—not only for where we are today, but also for the people, experiences, relationships, and lessons that helped shape us along the way.

01

Our Ministry Beginnings

Before transitioning into the Hebrew faith, Pastors Kenneth and Veronda Schools were already actively involved in modern Christian ministry and had undergone pastoral training, mentorship, and ordination.

Pastor Ken Schools is originally from the Southeast DC and Suitland, Maryland area of the DMV, while Morah Veronda Schools is from the Alexandria, Virginia area. Together, they began their ministry journey through mentorship and guidance received through Victory Christian Ministries International, under Pastors Tony and Cynthia Brazelton.

They were later ordained as pastors under Pastors Russell and Vetta Cash, founders of FLOW Church in the DMV.

We remain grateful for those who poured into us during those years. Although our understanding of Scripture and our doctrinal convictions would eventually develop in a different direction, we recognize the value of the foundation we received.

We were taught the importance of faith, relationship with God, character, integrity, family, service, and genuine relationships with others. Worship was also an important part of our development, teaching us to seek intimacy with our Heavenly Father and to understand His mercy, grace, loving-kindness, correction, and discipline.

We cherish the opportunities we were given to learn from and serve alongside pastors and leaders who helped shape our understanding of ministry.

02

Our Transition Into the Hebrew Faith

In October 2016, we re-launched our ministry as we transitioned into what we understand as the Hebrew faith and the biblical faith of the Scriptures.

This transition represented more than a change in religious identity. It was a deeper commitment to search the Scriptures, examine our beliefs, and seek to understand the Bible according to what is written.

Our ministry became increasingly focused on teaching the Scriptures according to our understanding of the biblical commandments, the faith in Messiah, the identity and history of the biblical peoples, prophecy concerning the nations, and the historical context surrounding the Scriptures.

We seek to teach these things boldly, unapologetically, and respectfully, while examining the ways Roman and later Western European traditions have influenced the presentation and interpretation of biblical faith.

Our desire is to proclaim a gospel that is rooted in Scripture and centered on Mashiach, whom the world commonly calls Jesus Christ, whom we call Yashaya.

We look to the example of those first called Christians at Antioch, as referenced in Acts 13:1, and we seek to understand the relationship between faith, obedience, the commandments of God, and faith in Messiah, including the promise described in Revelation 22:14.

03

Serving the Charlotte Community

After re-launching in 2016, we began investing significant time in the communities on the west side of Charlotte, North Carolina.

We canvassed neighborhoods, spent time with families, conducted Bible studies, provided teaching and mentorship, and developed practical outreach efforts designed to meet people where they were.

Our early classes, outreach efforts, and Sabbath gatherings were held at the Arbor Glen Recreation Center in Charlotte, utilizing the community room and, at various times, an elementary school nearby.

Our ministry has always sought to demonstrate that teaching the Word of God and serving people should go hand in hand.

Our community efforts have included helping address basic needs such as:

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Shelter and practical assistance
  • Family support
  • Mentorship
  • Biblical education
  • Community outreach
  • Encouragement and spiritual development

We believe that the experiences God allows us to walk through should not simply benefit us. They should equip us to become a blessing to others.

04

Outreach Beyond Charlotte

Our community service and ministry efforts have extended beyond one neighborhood.

We have served in areas throughout Charlotte, including Sugar Creek, North Charlotte, South Charlotte, and the Ballantyne area, while also conducting outreach and community service in the Fort Mill, South Carolina area.

For a period of time, we also held Sabbath services in Fort Mill as we served families in that community.

Our ministry has continued to maintain fellowship with our congregation and ministry family in the DMV, where relationships established over the years remain important to us.

We gather with our mobile family on a quarterly basis for fellowship, mentorship, teaching, preparation, and encouragement as we continue looking toward the coming of our Lord and Savior.

05

Our Mission

While our understanding of Scripture has developed significantly over the years, one thing has remained constant: Our desire to serve God and serve people.

Coming out of the religious traditions we once practiced has never meant separating ourselves from people who genuinely desire to know and serve God.

We believe there are people in Christian communities, Hebrew communities, and throughout the world who sincerely desire a relationship with God. Our purpose is not simply to create another religious organization, but to help people move beyond religion and into a genuine relationship with the Most High through the Messiah.

We seek to bridge gaps rather than build unnecessary walls.

The identity of the nations, biblical prophecy, the commandments, the gospel, and the mission given by Messiah to His disciples all play an important role in how we teach, serve, educate ourselves, love others, and prepare for the days ahead.

06

Ten Years of Service

October 2026 marks ten years of continuous dedication to ministry, our church family, and the communities we serve.

Ten years represents countless hours of teaching, counseling, mentoring, praying, serving, traveling, gathering families, helping people, and simply being present when people needed someone.

We are grateful for every person who has been part of the journey. We are grateful for every lesson learned. We are grateful for every door God opened.

And we are grateful even for the challenges, because they helped develop our character, strengthen our faith, and clarify our purpose.

07

Looking Toward the Next Ten Years

As we enter our next decade, our vision is to expand the reach of Restoration Center Charlotte nationally and globally, while remaining committed to the principles that have carried us this far: Faith. Scripture. Family. Service. Truth. Relationship. Integrity. Love.

Our desire is to continue making a meaningful impact in communities throughout this country and around the world for the sake of the Gospel of Mashiach/Christ Yashaya.

We believe the next ten years should not simply be about becoming larger.

They should be about becoming more effective in serving God, developing people, strengthening families, educating communities, mentoring the next generation, and preparing people for the coming of our Lord and Savior.

Understanding Their Meaning

The Significance of the Biblical Feast Days

These appointed times are not merely traditions — they are set apart by the Most High as memorials of His deliverance, patterns of His plan, and pictures of the Kingdom to come.

New Year / New Month (Spring Holy Day)

Exodus 12:2

Marks the beginning of the biblical new year and the sacred calendar of appointed times — the first of months, set apart by the Most High as the cycle of His Holy Days begins.

Passover Night

1 Corinthians 5:7 · Exodus 12

Remembers deliverance from bondage in Egypt through the blood of the lamb. Yashaya HaMashiach is our Passover, sacrificed for us, that we might be set free from sin and death.

Feast of Unleavened Bread

Exodus 12:15-17 · 1 Corinthians 5:8

For seven days we put away leaven — a picture of putting away sin — and eat unleavened bread, walking in sincerity and truth as we remember the Most High's deliverance.

First Fruits / Feast of Weeks

Leviticus 23 · Acts 2

The firstfruits of the harvest offered in thanksgiving, and the day the Holy Spirit was poured out — the beginning of the harvest of souls gathered into the Kingdom.

Summer Holy Day / New Month

Numbers 10:10

A time of continuing the count and renewing our commitment through the seasons, honoring each new month the Most High has given and remembering His faithfulness.

Blowing of the Trumpets

Leviticus 23:23-25

A memorial announced by the sounding of the shofar — an awakening to repentance, a call to prepare the heart, and a declaration that the Most High is King.

Day of Atonement

Leviticus 16 · 23:26-32

The most solemn of days — a holy fast of repentance, humility, and seeking atonement before the Most High, that we may be cleansed and reconciled to Him.

Feast of Tabernacles

Leviticus 23:33-43

We dwell in booths, remembering the wilderness journey when the Most High sheltered His people — a joyful feast foreshadowing the Kingdom when He will tabernacle with us.

Feast of Dedications

John 10:22

Celebrates the rededication of the temple and the miracle of light overcoming darkness — a reminder to keep our temple holy and our lamps burning for the Most High.

Winter Holy Day / New Month

Numbers 10:10

Continues the rhythm of the sacred year, honoring the new month through the winter season and trusting the Most High's order from one cycle to the next.

Purim

Esther 9

Remembers the deliverance of the Most High's people through Queen Esther — a celebration of joy, victory over the enemy, and giving gifts, as we rejoice in His saving hand.

Set Apart From the Traditions of Men

The Truth About Christian Holidays

Many popular holidays are presented as worship of the Most High, yet their origins lie in homage paid to false gods and idols. As His people, we are called to worship Him in truth — not in customs He never commanded and warned us to come out of.

Easter

Deuteronomy 12:30-32 · Jeremiah 10:2

The holiday called Easter is rooted in the ancient worship of a fertility goddess, not in the resurrection of Yashaya HaMashiach.

  • The name "Easter" traces back to Ishtar (also called Eostre), the Babylonian and Anglo-Saxon goddess of fertility, spring, and the dawn — a false deity, not the Most High.
  • Its symbols — eggs, rabbits, and sunrise services — are fertility rites and sun worship borrowed from pagan nations, the very practices the Most High commanded His people to leave behind (Deuteronomy 12:30-32).
  • Scripture never commands a yearly "Easter" observance. The death and resurrection of the Messiah are remembered through Passover and First Fruits, the appointed times the Most High set (Leviticus 23), which the apostles continued to keep.
  • Worship mixed with idols is not acceptable to the Most High. He warns, "Learn not the way of the heathen" (Jeremiah 10:2), and calls His people to worship Him in spirit and in truth — not through customs dedicated to false gods.

Rather than Easter, we honor the death of Yashaya HaMashiach at Passover and rejoice in his resurrection at the biblical First Fruits — worshipping the Most High the way He appointed, not the way the nations devised.

More will be added, including the truth about Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Conflict & Crisis Intake

One door. One record. One council. Every internal matter is documented and brought to the full council so we carry it together.

Council first

All internal conflicts come to the full council before they go anywhere else. Unity is built on shared understanding, not separate conversations.

Everything is documented

Every report of conflict or crisis is written down and funneled through the chain. Undocumented matters cannot be shepherded.

Emergencies escalate now

Physical incidents and immediate danger bypass the queue. Safety first, documentation right after.

No one carries it alone

Peer confidants guide people to the proper channel. Leaders do not absorb sensitive matters solo.
